Thai’s ‘Airbnb for surgeries’ secures $6m funding

HD, a Thailand-based healthcare marketplace, has raised US$6 million in a funding round from Partech Partners, M Venture Partners, AC Ventures, iSeed, and Orvel Ventures.

Founded in 2019, HD connects patients to hospitals, clinics, operating rooms, and surgeons through its marketplace called HDmall, which is available in Thailand and Indonesia.

In November 2022, the startup launched HDcare, considered the “Airbnb for surgeries.” The solution aims to boost occupancies of operating rooms, which HD says see low usage rates across private institutions.
