Singapore-based classifieds firm and unicorn Carousell has partnered with car subscription firm Carzuno while electric motorcycle maker Scorpio Electric has contracted Chinese enterprise Shenzhen BYD to build a pre-production prototype for its electric motorcycle named X1. Scorpio Electric contracts Shenzhen BYD Singapore-based electric motorcycle maker Scorpio Electric has contracted Chinese enterprise Shenzhen BYD to build a pre-production prototype (PPR) for its electric motorcycle named X1, per a release. The company, which is currently finalising its PPR units, plans to build the units in collaboration with Chinese enterprise Shenzhen BYD within this quarter. These PPR units will further undergo rigorous testing, certification, and homologation. The X1 was initially conceived to develop a premium electric motorcycle that catered to urban environmentally conscious consumers. Scorpio Electric will also be participating in the Esposizione Internazionale Ciclo Motociclo e Accessori (EICMA) exhibition in Milan to officially unveil the X1, alongside other future electric motorcycle models. Founded in 2017, Scorpio Electric aims to be a global brand and technology innovator in the two-wheel electric space.
